First durian wine is created in Singapore

Two doctoral students in Singapore have created the first wine made of durian, a spiky fruit with a powerful odor likened to unwashed socks and sewage by critics. "There’s no papaya wine available in Asia, so this is the wow factor. It’s fruity and sweet with tropical aromas," said co-creator Christine Lee, who added that the wine tastes nothing like the raw fruit.
