Students develop applications for university's mobile app store

A mobile application that connects community needs with volunteers won first place in a mobile app contest held by Loyola University Maryland. Louise Finn, the school's chief information officer, said the activity gave students a chance to apply their skills to the real world. "I'm always looking for ways to get students involved in technology from more than just an end user perspective," she said.
