Texas school adopts common lunch period

A Texas high school will eliminate multiple lunch periods and instead create a one-hour common lunch period. The change, officials say, will allow students to receive a half hour of tutoring during in the school day. While officials say the decision was based on months of planning, others are raising concerns about increased traffic as students leave school for lunch and the potential risk to student safety.
