FCC invests $2B for Wi-Fi in schools, libraries

The Federal Communications Commission has approved a plan to modernize the E-Rate program. In a 3-2 vote, commissioners approved spending $2 billion over two years on Wi-Fi for schools and libraries. FCC Chairman Tom Wheeler originally proposed $5 billion in E-Rate funding.
