Biggest risks to children are in range of parents' control

While many parents fret about environmental risks to their children that are largely out of their control, such as pesticide residues on fruits, the biggest danger to children is accidents that can be controlled, a new study says. The leading cause of death for children under the age of 15 is accidents, including drowning in swimming pools, falls, sudden death syndrome and vehicular accidents.
