Search ad ranking crucial, study says

Search marketers know the importance of getting a high listing for their paid search ad, and that knowledge is reinforced by a new study showing that a search ad ranked first is likely to get 10 times more visits than an ad ranked tenth. The study by Atlas DMT also shows that Google has a bigger drop in traffic between the top-ranked ad and the second-ranked ad than does Yahoo!-owned Overture.
