Mindray Medical poised to benefit from China's health reforms

China-based Mindray Medical International plans to take advantage of the Chinese government's health reform initiatives, Chairman and CEO Xu Hang said. The government vowed to spend $850 billion to set up hospitals and clinics in every community and renovate existing health centers by 2011. The country's health programs would boost the demand for Mindray's products such as patient-monitoring systems and biochemistry analyzers, an analyst said.
