Objection is filed to LyondellBasell's plans for Texas plant

LyondellBasell is facing a challenge to its plan to close a high-density polyethylene and olefins facility in Chocolate Bayou, Texas. Ineos argued in bankruptcy court filings that it made an agreement with the company in 1988 that allows it to buy the plant if it has been closed for six months. Ineos is calling on LyondellBasell to sell it the HDPE plant.
