China drives quickservice growth

Chinese consumers have discovered a growing love of quickservice burgers, fries and other American-style fare, making that nation a fast-growing market for companies including Yum! Brands. Yum!, which generates more than half its profits from overseas markets, has been opening KFC stores in China at the rate of about one per day.
