Expert calls for tighter organ-transplant policy in Malaysia

Some Malaysians who opted to have organ transplants outside the country have returned with HIV and hepatitis infections, as well as other concerns, said Francis Delmonico, a World Health Organization adviser on human organ transplantation. "It is time to amend laws and establish a full-time agency to have more and ethical organ donations in the country," Delmonico said.
