High-speed rail should be scaled to need, funding ability

There exists a strong case for improving the nation's rail infrastructure, according to a recent Journal of Commerce editorial. But the Obama administration's high-speed rail plans are "out of scale to the needs of the country and, more significantly, to financial reality." As the debate continues about how and where to invest in high-speed rail, "transportation companies should be watching closely where their taxes are being spent."
