NFIB: Tanning tax hurts small businesses

The new 10% tax on tanning imposed as part of health care reform won't stop people from tanning but will cost small businesses, critics say. "Right now, small businesses need to concentrate on making payroll and encouraging customers to come through their doors," said NFIB Tax Counsel Bill Rys. "New taxes like this amount to a 10% increase in the cost of doing business, and that money has to come from somewhere."
