Study: E-mail isn't a good building block of trust

E-mail is an easy way for co-workers to keep in touch, but it shouldn't become a substitute for the face-to-face interaction that is crucial in building trust, according to a recent study. When people meet face to face, they are able to read facial expressions, tones and other visual cues, which allows them to create a foundation of trust.
