Foursquare has struck deals to repackage coupons and daily deals from LivingSocial, AT&T and Gilt Groupe on its location-based network, and is reported to be talking to Groupon about a similar partnership. The move is Foursquare's most serious bid to date to turn its 10 million users into a source of revenue, and could also point to a more collaborative business model for deals-based services, experts say. "Nobody reaches everyone. You will see a web of top players who have sales forces and brands working together," AT&T Interactive CEO David Krantz says.
