FDA counsel accused of improper participation in suits on behalf of drugmakers

The chief counsel of the FDA has been accused of improperly intervening in several lawsuits on the side of pharmaceutical manufacturers by filing friend-of-the-court briefs. The suits include one against Pfizer, whom Daniel Troy once represented, as well as suits against a GlaxoSmithKline unit and makers of medical devices.
