Australians map a plan to undermine malaria

Australian scientists are developing a treatment they hope will prove to be decisive in the world's battle against malaria. The treatment involves the removal of one of eight identified proteins that allows the malaria parasite to infect red blood cells, leaving them stuck to the walls of blood vessels.
