ER great place to teach children to stop risky behavior

Michigan researchers found that 97% of families who received bicycle and car seat-belt safety information during a pediatric trauma center ER visit remembered it three months later and 24% of children changed their behavior because of it. One researcher said trauma centers offer a good "teachable moment" for risky behavior intervention.
