Florida-based GenerationOne has developed a wireless health management system that will use mobile phones to connect patients and doctors. It will remind patients to take their meds and monitor blood pressure and blood sugar and help them manage chronic conditions. It will also store and transmit information. The proprietary system is expected to be launched later this year and will initially target those who have asthma, congestive heart failure, diabetes or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
