Workshop teaches parents to talk to teens about sex

A workshop-based program that teaches parents how to talk to their teenagers about sex resulted in more frequent and meaningful discussions about relationships and sexual issues, researchers report. The weekly hour-long sessions used role-play and interactive exercises geared toward starting and sustaining a conversation. Parents also were coached on how to listen without interrupting or lecturing.
