Google tries to shed "frenemy" status with agencies

Google is in the midst of a push to develop relationships with major ad agencies in New York and Boston. Shops reportedly are interested in hearing Google's pitch but are concerned because the online giant's business practices haven't always been friendly to the agency model. "Google was scary; now we're looking to see what we can get out of a relationship," said Troy Kelley, chief digital officer at Arnold, Boston.
