House to consider energy and water spending bill

The fiscal 2010 energy and water spending bill boosts spending on renewable energy projects and water infrastructure programs. However, the legislation, which the House will consider this week, cuts funding for Army Corps of Engineers construction projects and flood-damage reduction projects in the Mississippi River Valley. A total of $33.3 billion in spending is included in the legislation.
