Marathon projects a second-quarter decline in refining

Marathon Oil expects its second-quarter financial report to show a drop in crude oil refined compared with the same period last year and a charge related to the effects of foreign currency on deferred taxes. Crude refined in the second quarter likely averaged 960,000 barrels per day, down from 1.023 million barrels per day in the same period last year, the company said.
