Robot can help prevent pediatric drug-related errors

Canadian firm Intelligent Hospital Systems has developed a robotic arm that automatically prepares sterile intravenous syringes and bags to prevent drug-related errors in children's hospitals. The Robotic Intravenous Automation device can be linked to computerized order entry and bar-code medication administration systems.
