Delay HCV antivirals after liver transplant, study says

Researchers said hepatitis C patients who have had liver transplants should not start antiviral therapy for one year after surgery unless there is a resurgence of the HCV infection. The study found prophylactic antivirals had no effect on patient or graft survival and were poorly tolerated.
