Labor Department looks into administrators of retirement plans

The Employee Benefits Securities Administration, the Labor Department's enforcement division, is looking into administrators of corporate retirement plans. The government is trying to determine fees administrators charge to mutual funds and whether those fees are being disclosed to plan sponsors. The EBSA has used subpoenas and other measures to collect documents from third-party administrators.
