Pratt & Whitney, GE enlist lobbyists in F-35 alternative engine battle

Pratt & Whitney and General Electric have each recruited more than a dozen new lobbyists in the past year in a battle over an alternate engine for the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter. Pratt makes the jet's lead engine, while GE and its aviation subsidiary Rolls Royce are making an alternative.
