U.K. poll shows people with learning disabilities face discrimination

Many U.K. citizens underestimate the capabilities of individuals with learning disabilities to retain employment or live independently, the results of a new poll show. However, the respondents acknowledged that people with learning disabilities face many challenges, with 90% agreeing that they are discriminated against. The poll questioned 1,100 adults and was done for a health- and social-services provider.
