Forecast calls for rise in notebooks' use of quad-core chips

IHS iSuppli forecasts that the use of quad-core chips in notebook computers will increase from 9% this year to 49% in 2015. The market research firm said it foresees 21.1 million notebooks with quad-core chips shipping this year, a number that will increase to 160 million in 2015.
