NSF report: How to ensure successful STEM education

Science instruction should be as valued as that of math and reading, according to a report by the National Science Foundation that lists six critical components needed for teaching science, technology, engineering and math. Those criteria include clear curricula and benchmarks, highly qualified educators and ample time for teaching.
