Energy drives U.S. wholesale prices up 0.8% in June

U.S. wholesale prices jumped 0.8% in June, driven by volatile energy costs, according to figures released Friday by the Labor Department. Despite this rise, core inflation was a modest 0.2%. Over the past year, core prices are up 1.7%.
