IVD, medical devices are among Council of Europe's top priorities

Expert review and final passage of regulations regarding IVD and medical devices prior to the European parliamentary elections in May 2014 lead the agenda of the Lithuanian presidency of the Council of Europe, said the country's health minister in an address to the EU's committee on Environment, Public Health and Food Safety. More broadly, said minister Vytenis Povilas Andriukaitis, the Lithuanian presidency would seek to draft and adopt a set of council principles for sustainable medical systems capable of dealing with global health challenges.
