Social media acceptance increases among advisors

Investment advisors are steadily abandoning policies barring use of social media and instead working to ensure that usage complies with securities rules, according to a survey by the Investment Adviser Association, the ACA Compliance Group and Old Mutual Asset Management. During the past year, 43% of advisory firms surveyed have increased testing of social media.
