Tenn. district prepares to serve healthier breakfasts

Sumner County Schools in Tennessee will serve healthier breakfast this year under the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010. Under the new breakfast guidelines, students will be served meals that contain calories that correspond with their age range. The meals will include four choices -- of which students may choose three, including grains, milk or fruit. Eventually, plans call for breakfasts to exclusively contain whole grains and to meet sodium caps.
