EHR use lowers clinical trial costs, study finds

A British study found that EHR adoption helped researchers attain better understanding of more diverse medical patterns and identify the appropriate treatments. EHR use was also associated with greater efficacy and less cost compared with the current clinical trial process, researchers wrote in the journal Health Technology Assessment.
