NIH contributes $1M for stent to treat pediatric pulmonary artery stenosis

The National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute has provided $1 million in funding to Boston-based 480 Biomedical, which is developing a self-expanding, resorbable scaffold for treating pediatric pulmonary artery stenosis. The stent holds open key arteries and can be replaced through a minimally invasive surgical procedure as the child grows.
