SCAI issues consensus document on transradial angiography best practices

SCAI's consensus document on transradial angiography recommends three evidence-based, best practices: minimizing radiation exposure during procedures, employing practices that preserve the radial artery and performing transradial primary PCI in STEMI patients only after adequate experience with elective cases. More research is needed to develop best practices for teaching transradial angiography, says SCAI fellow Dr. Sunil Rao, a lead author of the consensus document.
