Homeowner associations can ensure their voting processes aren't hijacked by special interests by using an independent third party to manage elections, write attorneys Donie Vanitzian and Zachary Levine. The third party can be a volunteer county poll worker, a licensed accountant, or a homeowner who has no ties to the director nor candidates and is not being compensated by the association.
