PPG Creates "Self-Cleaning Window"

When a thin film of titanium dioxide applied to a glass window is exposed to UV light, it breaks up organic molecules, preventing dirt from adhering to the glass, and this is the premise behind PPG's SunClean brand of windows. Consumers reportedly have been skeptical, but sales of the product have been ratcheting up, the company says.
