A model for "sustainable" classroom technology

Debbie Tschirgi, director of educational technology for a regional agency serving Washington state schools, has created a low-cost model to keep classroom technology viable beyond the usual three- to five-year equipment obsolescence cycle. Her plan involves a single computer supported by a whiteboard, projector, sound system and other peripherals and software.
