Top gene researcher says "ethical" human stem cell only months away

Japan's leading genetics researcher says he may be "a matter of months" from developing an "ethical" human stem cell that does not rely on using a human embryo. Shinya Yamanaka, whose research involves reversing the skin cells of mice back to their embryonic state, urged scientists to continue research with embryonic stem cells while waiting for the new technique to become available.
