NIH awards $21.5M to Texas university for translational research

The NIH's National Center for Research Resources has awarded a five-year, $21.5 million grant to the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston for a project that aims to fast-track the translation of basic biomedical research into clinical applications. UTMB's Institute for Translational Sciences will set up 12 key resources to help researchers in their translational work.
