Pentagon moves to improve network attack prevention

After last week's denial of service attacks on several government Web sites, the Department of Defense announced plans to update its cybersecurity systems to better secure its unclassified sites. The agency has since put out a request for information seeking a new product that can detect and react to attacks while allowing the Pentagon to monitor traffic between its network and the open Internet.
