Sprout CEO: 5 rules for going social

Williams advocates making social-media campaigns about consumers themselves -- create some element that users can personalize. He also points out that while it's important to measure campaigns, "[c]ompanies shouldn't delay adding social-media components of their campaigns while waiting for the perfect ROI scenario."
