"Star Wars," the crowdsourced remake

Star Wars devotees can finally put their action figures and costumes to use: The Star Wars Uncut project is crowdsourcing a remake of "A New Hope" by chopping up the film into 472 15-second pieces. Each segment was available to download and re-shoot on the video site Vimeo. All the parts have been scooped up, and the pieces submitted so far look great, Dan Smith writes. Once all the submissions are in, the bits will be pieced together to re-create the entire film.
