BP oil stops flowing into the Gulf of Mexico; tests begin on the cap

Oil from BP's Macondo well stopped spewing into the Gulf of Mexico, the first time since the Deepwater Horizon drilling rig exploded nearly three months ago. Tests immediately began on the cap. The containment vessel had been under development for several weeks, said retired Coast Guard Adm. Thad Allen, who heads the U.S. government's emergency response team.
