MagnaGlobal predicts $170 billion in U.S. ad spending

Interpublic Group research shop MagnaGlobal is forecasting that 2010 U.S. ad revenue will rise to $170 billion -- an uptick of 3.4%. Even without the boost from the Olympics and the midterm elections, U.S. ad revenue will climb 2.1%, which is an upward revision from their previous growth estimate of 1.6%. "It does feel like the recovery is real," said Brian Wieser, Magna's director of global forecasting.
