CFPB unlikely to ban products, Warren says

The new Consumer Financial Protection Bureau has no immediate intention of exercising its power to ban financial products that it finds harmful to consumers, Elizabeth Warren, who is guiding the launch of the regulator, told the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform. "We have made all of our priorities clear, and we have no intention of banning a product," she said.
