Study: Male and female pandas prefer different habitats

Female giant pandas prefer high-altitude forests that provide safe dens for birthing and places where their babies can hide, while males are less particular about their habitats, according to research published in the Journal of Zoology. The findings may help scientists create more effective strategies for conserving pandas and releasing them back into the wild.
