Ad-network giants launch push to curb intellectual-property theft

The biggest digital ad networks in the U.S. have pledged to prevent websites that sell counterfeit goods or violate copyright rules from using the networks to generate revenue. Google, Yahoo, Microsoft and five others said they will adhere to a set of best practices following a White House plea for private companies to take voluntary steps to cut intellectual property theft. The guidelines also require the companies to set up a complaint process for those who believe their intellectual property has been stolen.
