App couples Walgreen loyalty points with workouts

Walgreen is offering a MapMyFitness application to its mobile customers, interrupting fitness activity to announce the earning of Balance Rewards loyalty points. The program managed to engage 8.5% of the customers targeted, and 16 million registered users turned in some 680,000 workouts.
